Chairman Hat

The Chairman Hat is a Study 001 object built around ideas of authority, presentation and the visual language of leadership. Constructed in a washed dark green finish, the hat features the embroidered Because of War medallion at the crown and a layered brim revealing saffron yellow, white and black beneath the distressed upper visor. Raised embroidery across the brim creates a deliberately worn, reconstructed finish. An adjustable rear strap and metal buckle complete the classic low-profile silhouette, while tonal Because of War embroidery appears at the back. The Chairman Hat is released as a single Study 001 colorway and produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces.

The Chairman Hat examines the visual language of authority through one of the most familiar objects in everyday dress. Built on the silhouette of a traditional low-profile cap, the design combines a washed dark green body with saffron embroidery and a layered brim revealing saffron yellow, white and black beneath its distressed upper surface. The contrast between the familiar cap construction and the deliberately exposed second brim gives the object the appearance of something inherited, altered and worn forward. The Because of War medallion sits at the crown, while tonal embroidery at the rear keeps the branding present without overwhelming the object. The Chairman Hat belongs to Study 001, Because of War’s first research-led collection examining how history, movement and conflict create new cultural forms.
